PUNTA HERMOSA, PERU – In a powerful display of community spirit, players from Olympico SC took part in a beach cleanup in Punta Hermosa this week. Their commitment to the area goes far beyond the training pitch.
While training camp focuses on athletic excellence, the Olympico SC squad believes in something bigger. The players understand that no club or team can truly thrive without its community. To express their gratitude to the people and places hosting them during camp, the players spent a morning gathering litter, sorting recyclables, and helping restore the beauty of one of Punta Hermosa’s sandy shores.
“For us it’s bigger than playing a sport,” said one player. “With no community, we can’t thrive.”
A Gesture of Thanks
The cleanup was organized as part of Olympico SC’s program of giving back to local communities. Punta Hermosa has welcomed the team warmly, offering training facilities, accommodations, and support. The cleanup was the squad’s way of saying thank you and leaving behind something positive.
